Agile Design Put to the Test: From Africa and Beyond

Agile Design Put to the Test: From Africa and Beyond
Through a highly-interactive case study session, Agile design methods are applied to a learning project.

Has this ever happened to you: you’re expected to deliver a project on time, on budget, and meet your client’s needs only to discover they don’t know what they need? To complicate matters, the project timelines and budget cannot change. Now the twist…you’re in East Africa working with the client for the first time. You have 24 hours to validate their needs and create a solution. What do you do?

In this highly interactive case-study session, you’ll work at an accelerated pace to determine how you could approach validating the client’s needs and creating a solution given the 24 hour time constraint.

This case will provide you with an opportunity to explore blending the ADDIE model with Agile principles, borrowed from IT project management, to create a flexible client-centered solution.  You’ll also learn about the benefits of incorporating daily evaluations to drive and redirect your solution so it targets the client’s learning needs.

By the end of this session, you'll be able to:
- Explain how the ADDIE model can still be used within a compressed timeline
- Describe agile principles that can be leveraged in any learning environment
