Leadership development is a process not an event. Leaders develop through their experiences on the job, the exposure to others such as their peers, senior leaders, thought and industry leaders, and education aligned to business outcomes. The WSIB’s Manager Program is a 12 month journey for experienced managers providing them with the experiences, exposure and educational opportunities they need to develop their capabilities and grow as leaders. The program received an Award of Excellence from the Institute for Performance and Learning in 2016.
Christine Hammill and Megan Keast, Talent Management Consultants at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, will facilitate this interactive discussion about leadership development. During the session they will highlight the key features of WSIB’s Manager Program and share their experiences designing and implementing the program. They will also take you through one of the most impactful and popular components of the Manager Program; Challenges to Opportunities.

Submit your “challenges” via email to Toronto@performanceandlearning.ca by October 19th. The list of challenges will be compiled and those who submitted the challenges will not be identified. Be prepared to collaborate with other participants to find solutions to turn your challenges to opportunities.
About Megan and Christine
Megan Keast is a Talent Management Consultant at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board with more than 16 years experience in leadership and talent development. Megan has led the design, development, implementation and measurement of a number of innovative and results-based solutions, including WSIB’s Manager Program which received an Award of Excellence from the Institute for Performance and Learning in 2016. She believes that to keep pace with the dynamics of a modern organization, we must look beyond traditional in-class training solutions to develop leaders. Megan designed and implemented the first ever Executive Development Program at the WSIB and is currently redesigning the Performance Management Program to better align with the strategic direction of the organization.
Christine Hammill has more than 17 years of HR experience with global, private and public organizations. Christine is a Talent Management Consultant at the WSIB working with the HR Leadership anbd Talent team.
Christine leads the research, design, development and execution of leadership and talent solutions that build organizational capability. She currently leads WSIB's Manager Program which received an Award of Excellence from the IPL in 2016. Christine is also designing and implementing the WSIB Executive Leadership Onboarding Program.
